Living so close to the mountains, we've got a lot of steep and/or long hills. There's one close to where I live that has a grade of 7% and is half a mile long. Driving that hill when it's slick is a rather remarkable experience. When you start down it, you shift into 1st and hope that you won't have to hit the brake for any reason. And that hill is on one of our major streets.
