We just got back from 24 hours in Georgia. We had to come home to cool off. It's only 95 here. We combined trips. My Bedford, Mass. sister came down to see my Georgia sister and we met for lunch and dinner. When I get together with those two, it's like the 1940's all over again.

Then we went to our Georgia daughter's house, stayed overnight, and brough a grandkid and his dog home with us to stay a while. His mom and sister are going to Iceland. I hope they don't run into a heat wave there.

We left three apples in the car the whole time we were in Georgia and they cooked. They were a rich brown color and soft as mush. It could be a small dose of global warming.
