You have to feel your way through the cavern and map it out. Grab a pencil and paper. Hopefully, you have been mapping the game as you go; it's imperative that you do so for the endgame.

If you go, say, north, and:
1) You bump into a wall - there's a wall to the north, and you're in the same room.
2) You don't bump into a wall, and nothing seemingly changes - there's another pitch black room to the north of the one you just left.
3) You're outside - there's an exit to the north of the room you just left.

The cavern has six rooms and two exits. See where it takes you. Then consider this - you have two ways to get into the valley, and an easily taunted giraffe who's not that bright. Hmmm...
