Ooh, the driving is fun! I'm teaching my sister to drive right now, and it's pretty scary for both of us. She's doing well, but it's been so many years since I learned to drive that I'd underestimated how tough it really is, and how many different things there are to think about. I pray fervently every time we get in the car... I'll pray for you those times too.

I want to echo what Stephen said in another thread: you're up against a lot of challenges, and a lot of unhappy and unsettling circumstances right now, and that's bound to take its toll, but from what little I can see, you're well poised to come through it just fine (and with lots of great perspective and experience you can share with others.)

The most important piece of advice I have for you (from my own toughest period) is this: remember that it's only for a time. You'll come through it, and a lot of the stuff you're suffering under now will be only a distant-- and not even unwelcome-- memory, that you will look on as past struggles and victories that helped make you who you are. Sometimes this is very difficult to remember-- in your bouts of depression especially, your mind will tell you that this is just how life is, and you're always going to feel this bad, and things are always going to be this hard. THIS IS A LIE. Use whatever strategies you can to help keep perspective. Some suggestions I have for that are talking to other people who have been through really hard times (there are quite a few on this board!), keeping a journal of the good times you have and the good things that happen to you, and writing down plans and ideas for your future.

Hope this helps... you know you've got lots of people here who are ready to listen.
