Well, no, that wasn't intended to be sarcasm, but sarcasm is one of my favorite sports. My brain was created in 1933, so 21st century stuff sometimes boggles it. The shorter your future gets, the more you live in the past.

I still marvel at electric typewriters and cameras that have an electric motor to wind the film for you. I don't carry a cell phone, and probably wouldn't use one unless the car was on fire.

But somehow, probably by accident, I have learned to do basic stuff on a computer. I have advanced to the point where Windows 95 is no longer gee whiz stuff.

One thing the computer age has taught me is that there is a reason for grandchildren. When the 'puter won't 'pute, I just grab the nearest grand child and they fix it. They start showing me computer tricks at the age of about 3 or 4. Two of them are 20 now and their computer tricks are way over my head.

I firmly believe that computers can fix themselves. I have wrestled with computer glitchs for hours without success, and the next day it works perfectly. My scratch disk fiasco is a prime example. As long as I avoid that one picture that it doesn't like, I have no problem. Do you suppose it lied to me? The picture was a closeup of a motor scooter speedometer which has kilometers instead of miles. One theory is that my computer is metricphobic. I swear sometimes I think I hear it laughing at my frustration. OK, now I am beginning to get sarcastic. Sorry.

But seriously, I often rely on Rinkies to help me with computer problems when my grandchildren are not around. Rinkies all seem to have computer skills far ahead of the general public.

> Is that sarcasm I hear?? :-) Sorry, half my family wouldn't know to do that and I honestly don't know how much you know about computers (especially with a post like "Old Fashioned Guy").

I have other more modern photo softward, but I don't want to put myself through the learning process again. However, I think I'll try the searh engine idea. I never would have thought of that. Thanks.
