> Lirelyn, I know it's tough to believe, but I am actually relieved to have my parents divorcing, and I don't really care about it one way or the other. It was bound to happen sooner or later, I suppose, what with all the infighting in the marriage. I guess it is taking a toll on my subsonscious, though, seeing as I've started getting depressed for no clear reason.

I was in the exact same situation. (Well, they're not technically divorced but anyway.) And because I thought that it was a good thing when my dad left, I didn't do the healing that I needed to do - so please, please, recognize that you do need to heal. If you recognize that now I believe it will save you some heartache later.

Well, I just now read what Stephen said. I really feel like God's trying to tell you something here, as this thread was about adoption but Stephen and I are both talking about divorce.

I think at some point you should talk to a professional, as everyone could use that with a situation like this, but please let me know if you'd like to talk to me. It could be very beneficial for me as well, as I still have healing of my own to do.
