You're on the right track with the rally. Seen a cute guy playing soccer who's offered to let you play? You HAVE to get in on that game, but you need appropriate shoes, shirt and shorts to play. You're a third of the way there, now.
The GYM shoes can be stolen from a fairly obvious place. The T-shirt... not so obvious. Go to the southeast corner of campus and play nurse.
