Ever see that magic trick where a magician pulls a tablecloth out from beneath a whole bunch of dishes and doesn't knock any of it over? You are nowhere near that skilled. Look for something precarious in one of the wings of the library.

There's a basketball player with a gold tooth on campus. If he's playing on the court right now, try sabotaging the game from the sidelines with something equally shiny.

There is a library book that will hint where methanoic acid comes from. You can find a supply of sorts right out behind the school and can trap some - but you'll have to use the equipment in the chem lab to distill it.
