There is little need for an electric Vespa. Like most scooters, they will go forever on a gallon of gas. Even my vintage Vespas will do close the 100 miles per gallon and I expect the new models are better.
When it comes to transportation, Europeans are a lot smarter than Americans. They have excellent public transportation, prefer smaller vehicles, and seem to love bicycles and mopeds. I think I would love living in Europe. Make that southern Europe. I'm a tropical person.
I have a dozen motor scooters sitting around and can't ride them very much, because I am surrounded by heavy traffic that moves too fast. Drivers here seem to be blind to small vehicles. Fast motorcycles can stay out of the way, but a scooter doesn't have a chance. They might run over you in Europe, but at least they see you first. Howard
> Do they make electricity-powered Vespas? Vespas are awesome. Perhaps Americans should use mopeds or some-such to go fairly average distances impossible to go on foot, like the Europeans seem to do a lot. Looks like it'd save gas to me. > > (It is Segway, by the way.) > > -zK
