Yes, but do we know one is derived from the other? They could both be legitimate statements made at different times.

The official site does indeed look a lot less offensive, but, then, that's basically the job of marketing. That said, it's entirely possible that the page wintermute linked to is full of exaggerations and outright lies. I don't know. It honestly wouldn't surprise me either way.
