Ok, first, can you put a couple blank lines between what you write and what you're replying to? It's almost not even worth the trouble trying to figure out where, in the middle of a paragraph, your message is.

Are we talking about the same game? "The Jewel of Montol" is, while mildly maze-like, perfectly mappable and logically connected.
But it sounds like you're talking about "Spider Attack," which does indeed connect illogically and therefore benefits more from flowcharting than traditional mapping.
Sounds like you've got things under control, though. Good job.
