Well then, what about calling them "New-ER?" I mean, We can change the names to Newer York, Newer Jersey, and Newer Hampshire. New Mexico we can change to New And Improved Mexico, and they're state motto can be "New And Improved Mexico- cleaner than regular Mexico!"
Sorry, was that culturally insensitive? It might have been. But while we're on the subject of cultural insensitivity (and New Jersey for that matter), I'd just like to address an issue that's been bothering me. Jersey Girls.
