FQ1 can't get in anywhere!

At this point, I have no clue. I know I need a 4th piece of gold but have only been able to find 3: one from the store, one from the garden en I dug up one in a box somewhere. I helped the gnome, have no idea how to distract that spirit thing, killed the cat but have yet to find my way into the tower, vulcano, castle, fortres... you name it.

could someone give me a hint?
