If I leave the keys in my car it raises a real fuss about it when I open the door.

There was a time when cars didn't have keys, but I'm too young to remember it. However, I am old enough to remember when we didn't have to lock everything up. We left the keys in the car and unless we were going out of town, the house was never locked. My father locked the store, but that was downtown and if the police found it unlocked they called him about it. I know, because he left the back door of the store unlocked once and the police called him at 2 a.m.

I still leave my car unlocked on the carport. I have done that for years and I haven't lost one yet.
