Ah, I see. No, the dwarf's garden is just a dead end to steal
veggies from right now. (You can cut through it in FQ2, but here
it's just a carrot repository.)
As for getting out of the forest, you may have met someone who
will let you pass with proper identification. Unfortunately, he's
the only way out. Fortunately. some fool went and lost an
important item near a bunch of giggling individuals...
