I'm getting rid of some of MR's features, such as the clinc and reaplacing it with a hospital where players will not only heal, but get some rest while being cured of any plauging elements.

Wow. It sounds like Murkon's Refuge has set your imagination in motion. That's great. I write these games for entertainment in the moment, but inspiring thought or creativity in others is a greater reward.

Unfortunately, I have to tell you the same thing I told someone on the Hints Board who had adventure game ideas (see post #94702). The bottleneck for the creation of these games isn't the ideas, it's implementing the ideas into functional, viable games. I have no shortage of my ideas myself, and it is realizing my own ideas that makes the writing of new games a rewarding experience for me. The next game I'm writing for The Role-Player's Vault is already pretty well formulated and pretty far along in development. It is not an entry in the Murkon saga, but I think you will be pleased with the expansion of gameplay features, which is so much more than a facelift of Murkon's Refuge with some new monsters.

Here's my suggestion. Learn a programming language. Start with simple programming exercises and work yourself up from there. Writing an RPG is a lot of work and takes a lot of programming practice behind your belt, but ultimately you need to be the one to realize your own ideas. Your idea for a new Murkon game works just as well if you change the names "Murkon" and "Perinn" to names of your own creation.

Luck.
