ESM VS. POA posted by KatiesGoldenDust on Saturday, December 31, 2005, at 17:16:59:
That was a bit unfair. I actually quite liked Outlaws. I think all the adventure games here are great, and I'm not just saying that. From a storyline standpoint, they're all pretty well written, except for the Fantasy Quest games, but those aren't meant to be tightly woven plots, so I can overlook that. Besides, they're just plain funny.
Anyway, on the subject of POA vs ESM, it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a better story, and more challenging puzzles, POA is the game you want. If you want a game that's different from all the others, ESM is the game you want.
I would, personally, suggest you play POA after ESM, unless you're curious about the continuing story of clan Connell, and want to know about Kendra's brother, Ken, as well as her friends Silas and Verna (though you'd really have to pay attention to figure that out).
Anyway, there's my two cents on the issue. Hope it helps.
