i'm afraid you need to explore loads more before you can get that fight sorted. I think the principal thing to learn in this game is that it is not linear, and by that I mean you do not solve a problem and then move on to the next one. Try going around the school and make sure you go everywhere and talk to everyone. You need to start dealing with more things before you can proceed with what you're doing.
Hint: A little fresh air might help clear your thoughts...
