ESM - stuck near the end

I believe I am fairly close to finishing (YAY!), but I am stuck on a
few things.

1.) I can't climb up to the roof; someone always stops me!

2.) I can't sharpen the scalpel; the clue didn't help!

3.) I can't get the physics teachers what they want!

4.) I can't get inside the clinic!

I have: backpack, beaker, blue paint, bottle cap, chain, chalk,
earthworm sample, eraser, fire map, glass pane,lighter, mirror,
photos of fashion show, rust eater, scalpel screwdriver, screws,
shirt, shoes, soldering iron, wire, wrench.
