Agreed. One of the problems inherent with designing games of this sort is that it can be very difficult for a player if he misses searching the one spot he needed to in order to find something -- and it's often tough to have a plausible in-game method to clue him in to what he missed. That problem's magnified if the search area is larger (as it will inevitably be in my next game).
