Everyone keeps talking about a dinner invitation which I suppose is from Chris and I can't get the nerds to the "promised land". Help is appreciated. I've spent almost a week on this and am still stuck!
Parking lots: check the map; they're labelled on there.
Puzzle box: try working it out on paper starting with the final "X" shape and working backwards a couple of steps. Besides rotations and reflections, there are only a few patterns that are within two moves of finishing, and it's fairly easy to reach one of these just by fiddling around until you get it.
Textbooks: there's a natural place to look on the campus where you can find tools for carrying heavy objects and doing other sorts of manual work. Again, check the labelled places on the map.
Everything else comes afterward.
