I think the space you're looking for is around the northwest quadrant of the maze, I think by a birdfeeder... it's accessible from the area where you got the glasses.
But before you mess with the maze anymore, go to town, turn in the glasses and the raffle ticket... the raffle prize will make the housekeeper VERY happy and accommodating. Trust me, it's worth it.
