I hear that. I hate to seem callous, but everytime I go to CNN.com and see New Orleans underwater, I keep thinking "That's what you get for building a city below sea level right on the coast. Bound to happen eventually."

I also don't get why, every year, my tax money goes to helping people in Florida rebuild their houses right in hurricaine alley. I'm cool with helping people out who just lost their homes, but I'd be more inclined to say something like "Here's some cash to help you out, but how about you try not living right in the path of EVERY HURRICAINE EVER?"
