It's funny how context can change your perceptions. Other than having slightly fewer hit points in MV, the Leviathan's stats are EXACTLY the same. He does magic equally as often in both games and has magic of equal power in both games. I can't remember if I changed the algorithm between MR and MV for calculating the damage monsters do in hand-to-hand combat. If I did, than the Leviathan's combat power will be different between the two games, but only in EXACT proportion to the change in combat power of all the other monsters. In short, the Leviathan is not different between the two games. But when you first encounter the Leviathan in MR, he is usually so powerful compared to how advanced your characters are that he leaves more of an impression.
