A bit northeast of the stalagmites, yes. For a short time after you jump off in one spot, you can hear the mine cart rumbling along through the tunnel. Assuming it stays on its tracks, where could it come out?

The maintenance door leads into one of the three OSM sections. Have you tried all the other exits from that section?
