Yeah, I usually do that too, but if I'm typing from a document I usually find myself looking at that document and trusting my fingers.

Also, Caps Lock can sneak up on you even when you're not typing text, e.g. while Alt-Tabbing, and I like to nip that sort of thing in the bud.

Num Lock is even worse, because if you accidentally turn it off (a careless "7" will do it), you wind up elsewhere in your document in a hurry ... and your typing won't tip you off.

I wish I had software to disable the Caps Lock key. It's the only key that's never useful but always at risk of being pressed.
