You don't NEED any more hints. You already know that it's a trap? You've fallen down it before? It didn't sound that way when you first posted. Based on what you already know, you should be able to find it without any more hints.

You know it's on level 9. You know it's an unmarked chute. You even know that it's not on the Leviathan half of level 9. The remainder of level 9 isn't that large. Do what commie_bat said and print out a map. You can systematically go over it square by square if you need to until you find it.
