cant get out of north fortress fq1 spoilers welcome

im stuck in the fortress, i alreadyjumped and now the balcony is destroyed and i cant get past it again... how do i get back to the drawbridge and lower it? I need one more password from the soothsayer.. I tried climbing back up the volcano, but it says that it is too steep helllp
