The jocks chased them every time they went by the jock dorm. But in that game I could lift the sewer grates at both sides of the chasm. This time I cannot get to the chasm. The geeks ignore me now that they have the calculator. I have spent a lot of time moving junk around in the junkyard and found the sewer grate, but never get a crowbar option.

A-Ha! I had not gone to the Junkyard or the Shack enough TIMES! I needed to go to those places as often as my cats go in and out a door. Then I could use my crowbar!
