Monster Arena prelim rounds -- tougher this time?

I just noticed that almost exactly half the Monster Arena participants this time around have lost *all four* preliminary battles so far. HALF of them. Why is that???

It does seem, subjectively, that the computer opponents are a little bit tougher (so far) than they were in the April tournament, but still. Are they really that formidable? Are there maybe a whole lot of dead accounts and sleeper accounts filling up the bottom ranks?

Well, anyway, I'll be interested to see how the win/loss spread looks after the rest of the preliminary battles. Maybe it'll start to even out a bit.
