It *should* be, but is it? The loser of a round gets 400 gold. The winner gets 425-500. Let's say 500 and assume the loser is behind 100 gold per round.
But the loser avoids two key expenses: He loses nothing to enchantment drain, and nothing to service charges. If each character in the winning team has +2 weapons and +1 armor, that's 75 gold right there. If the winners have traded in any equipment, that's a bit more.
But the proof will be in the next round. With the element of surprise gone, and cards on the table, how many of the sleeper winners will survive round 2?
