Back in the summer of 2002, I went to a scooter meet in Charlotte, North Carolina. My 1953 Allstate scooter won second place in class, but I never got the trophy. They said they didn't get all the trophies they ordered. But they did. It turned up today in a box of leftovers. There are always a few trophies for classes with no entries and I guess mine got mixed in with those.

I've won lots of trophies on a regional level, but this one was at a national meet. Second place is pretty good against that kind of competition.
