> i got rid of the witch now i'm stuck with the giraffe. i've been able to go north w/o encountering it but everytime i go further west there she is. the only maneuver that worked for me (i tried every possible option) stand for a moment and rush to the east. please help!!! thanks!!!
Your first step, going north, is CORRECT.
That pitch-dark cavern has 6 rooms (two columns of three) with an exit at the middle room of each column. That second exit will spit you outside the valley. Once you've gotten through and can access the cavern from both sides, try going through the cavern to pop out at the north side of the valley.
You want to set things up so that when you enter the valley from the east, the giraffe will be sniffing around at the cavern to the north and will let you book it past him to the west. Good thing you have sap in that bucket...
