I've never heard of this movie, but I like the basic premise. I
think that a modern movie about a faked Mars landing
conspiracy would be very timely and powerful, if done
right. Comedy, stupid action, and athlete stars should
probably be avoided. But I believe that a great suspenseful
thriller drama could come out of that concept. Keep it
serious. The focus should be on the confict between the
good and corrupt factions within NASA, with emphasis on
the media's response to the clues that leak out. This is a
very original premise still, though a lot of care would need
to be taken to avoid typical cliches and stock characters
like the "determined heroine reporter" and the "evil
government bureaucrat."

Not sure about the cast, but Russell Crowe would be great
in a movie like this, undoubtedly. I'm thinking more along
the lines of his "A Beautiful Mind" performance than his
"Gladiator" performance. Maybe Johnny Depp. Renee
Zellweger would be a nice choice too. Dangit, now I want to
see this movie.
