NEITHER.

Okay, visual analogy time.

The Coriolis is shaped like a donut, but I think a bagel makes a better analogy - because of the way they always cut bagels.

Cut the bagel in half like a sandwich. One half is the east half, the other is the west half. NONE of the conduits are on the inside or outside, they're on the top/bottom halves (whichever you consider top and bottom). The inner and outer meridian are where the halves meet (the inside and the outside of the donut shape).

There are six conduits on each half, perfectly lined up by number.

Let's go back to the bagel analogy. Say you put the halves back together and stabbed a toothpick through the place where, say, M01E is supposed to be on the east half. The toothpick would go straight through and pop out on the west side - where M01W is. M01E is "on top" of where M01W is on the other half, and the same goes for the other 5 pairs of conduits with the same number attached to them. Whenever you cross the inside or the outside, you're simply going to the other half of the bagel, so to speak - and to the conduit on the other side with the same number.

Best way to keep track of this: draw the two halves on paper, each with six dots for the conduits. Heck, cut them out if you have to. Use the bagel analogy to figure out where to place each number. You can pretty much pick a direction "around" the bagel for north and south.

...and I need to close down a few things, so I'd better post this now and move on.
