It won't let me enter the volcano again because the room was destroyed and I don't have everything I need to get out again (so it says). I think I might need matches (there was a dark spot near the castle, and a pitch black room inside the volcano) but I don't know where to get them. I still don't know what to do with/for the pixies or the dog. There are things I've found but cannot use, like
vampire ashes (can't take them)
log in forest (won't roll)
barrel of wine in wine cellar (won't open)
papers in very large room (unknown language)
window in hallway looking onto courtyard (won't open)
tractor in garage (no keys & can't hotwire)

I'm not sure if I ever do need to use those things or what. I am totally stuck. I did get a gold piece from the fortress and get the password from the soothsayer.
