CONGRATULATIONS AND 'WAY TO GO, HOWARD'. I, too, am diabetic and was diagnosed 3 years ago when I thought I had the 'flu' and they took a blood test. My count was 713 and I began on both pill and self-injected insulin. Six months later, my doctor agreed to allow me to try to do diet/exercise plus the glucophage and try to stop the injections. It worked and I have been able to keep level counts on between 80 and 130 ever since. I'm so happy for your success and that is a really terrific A1C test result. Keep up the good work.
