Yeah, i've often wondered what the gov't would do if the alcohol/tobacco taxes suddenly worked, and the public lost interest? Would the economy crash? Would income taxes have to be raised? More sales taxes? Social Security raided?

Then i remember that i live in the U.S., where that will never happen--we seem to be easily entertained, even by alcohol and tobacco.
