First level of the tower: By now I'm sure you've discovered that touching that stupid bookcase automatically gets you booted out... so have you tried doing everything BUT touching the bookcase until you get better results?

Garden: You got the gem, you got all the gold coins you can get right now... you may or may not have gotten past a certain feline yet, though. And I don't mean the lion. (When you have the option to "move further away from your destination," you are on the right track - just move so you know what direction to go TOWARDS that destination.)

Gnome: The boat's reachable from the junction at the general store (west, I believe). At least, the riverbank is, and I'm sure you're itching to try out that fishing pole. (Gnomes love seafood.)
