Now that the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy
has been completed (with the exception of the
extended version of ROTK), I imagine that this
old Forum 1 thread might be of special
interest... in it, we speculated on casting
possibilities for the films.

I found it especially interesting that with only
one exception, NONE of the names bandied
about in this thread ended up being cast for
roles in the trilogy. The one exception was
Christopher Lee, whom Kelly had heard might
be playing Gandalf...

Anyway, it's somewhat amusing to imagine
what these films might have been like had
these casting guesses been more accurate!
