I hate shopping. So this year, I told my wife what I was going to get her for Christmas. Then I took her to the store and let her select it. We pick it up on Monday. I think I'll let her write the check.

Oh. I forgot. It's a small oak drop-leaf table with two chairs for the breakfast room. We had been using a yard sale table and two mismatched chairs. The table was maple in a house full of oak, and one chair was oak and the other unidentified wood. I guess we were getting a little tired of it.

So that's one present down and two to go. We have an anniversary and her birthday coming up a few weeks after Christmas. I will not panic.
