I'm rather ashamed that I beat this game around this time last year, and am already having trouble with it again now...

I remember how to get past the troll on the bridge, but I can't find the sunstone with which to do it! Hints on this board talk about looking in the bushes, but I could swear up and down that I've gone through every bush, grass, shrubbery, bushwhacking, and random-red-herring option I have access to. Unless I've completely missed an entire area somehow... but I don't think I have.

In the forest, I've dealt with all the creatures except the sorcerer. In the garden, I've gotten past the cat. I have, of course, hijacked the carrots and unicorn, and broken down the wall before the northwest castle. Here is my inventory:

Not asking for forbidden spoilers, but... which general area should I be searching for what I need next? Is it the sunstone that I need next, or have I missed a step even before it?
