I could see the Mississippi, and it's bridges, Canal Street, the Superdome, and Algers across the river. I never quite picked out Bourbon Street, and Harrah's wasn't built yet. Next time, maybe I can see it at night.

It was really need, indeed. Of course we took off from the lakefront airport, and it was neat flying over my home and all. We didn't go directly over downtown much, stayed over closer to the industrian canal mostly. It was kind of scary coming in for landing over the lake.

I still wish I could have afforded to get that lisence. I have a friend who got hers two summers ago while she was an intern at Boeing, since she had all that money and lots of free time. And I think she has gotten instrument now. The freak, she still hasn't taken me up!
