I knew this was a bunch of dippity-do when I got down to the part where it gave latin names to bird species. If my memory serves me, birds don't have latin names. Trees, maybe. Primates maybe. Bugs, worms, and spiders maybe. But not birds. Is that correct?

However, useless research is common in the scientific world, because it is assumed that it may someday become useful. When Michael Faraday was asked, "But what is the use of it, Mr. Faraday?" I'm sure he smiled.

I also wondered what an laden swallow would look like. Cars have trunks, trucks have beds, but swallows? Where would they carry anything?

I might apply some of the methods it that study to motor scooters. Everybody knows that a scooter with a fat rider goes slower than one with a skinny rider. Skinny riders offer less wind resistance and less mass to be moved. But how fast will an unladen motor scooter go? I may never know, because I refuse to let one of my scooters go wide open without a rider.
