This season has been weird. Three or four
times over the last few weeks, I've had
nosebleeds without realizing it. What I mean
is, I didn't realize it until I blew my nose and it
came out red and nasty. I thought about this
contest, but I decided these couldn't count
since I never actually felt a drip. I came pretty
close one day last week; I actually noticed the
smell of the blood welling inside my sinuses
but again it did not drip so I couldn't count it.

Last night I had my first "official" nosebleed of
the season. It was a four-tissue bleeder,
meaning it took four halved tissues to stop it,
or eight total pieces of tissue rolled up and
stuffed in the nostril to soak up the blood. So
for my part, Nasty Contest 2 is on!
