I scored libertarian right, but I had the same feeling about the world leaders chart. The people I like and most commonly agree with were much further right and somewhat more authoritarian.

I talked about this in chat with Stephen a bit, and we came to the conclusion that that world leaders chart is inaccurate. George W. Bush, for example, is simply not that much further right than I am, and I don't really think he's that much more authoritarian, either.

I kind of think one has to add a point or two to the X axis when taking the survey, and subtract a bit with most of the world leaders.

On the other hand, it may help to consider that this site is based out of the UK, and the "center" position for both political parties and world leaders is going to be center by UK standards, not American standards. In America, Tony Blair would probably be considered slightly left, while Bush would be more moderately right.
