I think the mushroom is the big clue. If you read any botany book, it will tell you that yellow dots on a red mushroom indicates hallucinagenic (Sp?) properties.

I have to admit, I laughed at about the 3rd go around. I am going to have this in my head all night. I also have to admit that I didn't really look at a botany book. Although I am still certain drug use is involved somehow.
