Looking back on it, every serious job I've ever had (i.e. not working in a grocery store or drugstore while going through school) has come from a posting on my university's online job board, which is only accessible to students and alumni. The limited field of potential applicants helps quite a bit, I think, although many companies will also list those jobs publically. Not all do, though.

Thinking about it now, I'm not sure that I've ever even had interviews for jobs that were in my field of training and NOT from the university job board. Of course, I never tried particularly hard on the other options -- I felt satisfied enough with the number and selection of options available to me through the job board.

Don "I have no idea if you have such a board available to you, though" Monkey
