FQ 2 - I must be stupid..(very beginning)

I'm stuck in the beginning of FQ 2. I have no idea what to do anywhere, but I think I've been everywhere I can with what I have without doing anything I haven't done, aside from just going there, of course. (o_o; There's A run-on sentence x_x)

Inventory:
2 Tree Branches, Small Silver Coin, Note, Sack, Silver Key, Iron Support.

I can't remember how many coins I've given the soothsayer. . .(I haven't played in a while) I'm thinking four, maybe.
Anyway, I just (as usual..) need a hint on where to go next and what to do when I get there.
