It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad, Story: "The Eye of Argon"

I've just read what must be absolutely the worst, most hilariously badly written story EVAR. It's a "Conan the Cimmerian" story wannabe, featuring a beefy barbarian protagonist named "Grignr", a profusion of cliched gore, and the purplest of purple prose. Oh yeah, and made-up words like "whimsicoracally".

I had the good fortune to read a MiSTed version of the story, to which the link below points. The original is available at this other site:

A bit of quoted introduction:

"...ever since this story was discovered in 1970 it has been the object of competitive readings. People the world over have gathered together their friends and loved ones and passed the story around, reading aloud in turn until the reader cracked up laughing. Many competitors fail to finish a single word!"
